Reverend John Tripp commenced marrying people in the year 1791 in Carver, Massachusetts and also in the towns of Middleborough, Rochester and Shaw. After he moved to Hebron, Maine in 1798, he performed a few marriages in Buckfield, Paris, Oxford, Turner, Minot, Sumner and of course Hebron.
