Hebron Historical Society collects, preserves, organizes and makes available to the public all forms of information relating to town and region. Our holdings include books, pamphlets, diaries,
letters, photographs, maps, scrapbooks, periodicals, town reports and ephemera. Our library and archival collections are particularly strong for Hebron, towns of western Maine and other parts of
Maine.
The public and members are invited to use the research materials whenever the facility is open. Generally, this is every Tuesday from 1 - 4 pm, whenever the flag is showing, or by appointment. Use of
the facilities by members and students is free, non-members by donation ($5.00 per day suggested).
Photocopies (per sheet) are 10 cents for members and 25 cents for non- members. No requests for complete copies of books, manuscripts, or genealogical folders/notebooks will be honored.
Responsibility for observance of copyright law rests with the patron.
Hebron Historical Society is pleased to offer "Research-By-Mail" service for those who cannot visit us in person. For a prepaid hourly fee, volunteers will search for specific information on an
ancestor. Please contact Hebron Historical Society, PO Box 294, Hebron, ME 04238 for a form to specify the information sought or photocopies wanted and a list of fees. A request for the
